Geofencing allows you to use cell towers and GPS location to find active mobile devices within a certain distance around your location. That means you can send digital advertising to everyone within a few miles of your restaurant to let them know your location and the fantastic menu. Grand Opening Geofence Campaign

Recently, Pieology was opening a new store in North Charleston. To get the word out, they used geofencing. They decided to use a 3 mile radius around the store to get the word out. They targeted active mobile devices in that 3 mile area to send digital ads about the restaurant. The campaign lasted 1 month and yielded some amazing results. Using our technology we were able to measure the number of people that clicked on the ad as well as the number of people that visited. Take a look.

Total Ads Served: 200,000

Number of people that clicked on the ad to get more information: 537

Number of people that visited the restaurant that received the ad: 377

  • Cost per lead is about $4

Counting Visitors

So how did we get the visitor count? The neat part about that is we used the geofence technology, no changes at the counter or extra equipment in the store. Instead, we measure based on the devices we targeted and the store location. When the device entered the store, we knew. Now, for security, we do not know the device owner. All we know is an ID number that uniquely identifies the individual. There are no security issues or privacy invasions.
