Plugin Review: Pixabay Images

Pixabay Images plugin connects to Pixabay.com, a free image library with CC0 public domain pictures. If you don’t have a budget for iStock or other account, then Pixabay is a good solution.

We’ve blogged about other free image resources before and while they are all great, this one is different. Pixabay offer this free WordPress plugin to add Pixabay.com pictures in your post or pages right from your dashboard.

Features include:

• Search Pixabay’s public domain pictures via “Add Media” button inside the editor.
• Filter search results by image type (clipart, photo) and/or orientation (horizontal, vertical).
• Preview images in paginated search results.
• Direct image uploads to WordPress’ media library.
• Use of standard media dialogues for editing and inserting images.
