Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of The WordPress Minute! Today we’re going to be talking about WordPress password recovery, so this should go pretty quick. Go ahead and get to your login screen on your WordPress website. There you’ll enter in your information, password, and your username.
But what if you don’t remember?
Then you’ll find this link right here (see video). This is called the “lost your password” link. We will go ahead and click that and you actually want to complete your email address here (see video).
Then click on “get new password”. Now if it doesn’t see the email address in the database of your installation then you’ll get an error, giving you another problem. This means that your user does not exist. At that point I would contact your website manager or your host. If you enter in your email address and you recover it, then all that’s left to do is to go to your email. Click the confirmation link, come back, pick a password and you’re in!
